Ace reporter Josh Krueger, who is on the road to New Hampshire for a Thanksgiving feast, just informed me that the Middletown football team ended its 13-year losing streak to rival Portsmouth with a 19-13 road victory.
Details to follow ...
Hope all are having a nice Thanksgiving.

Just got back from New Hampshire, but better late than never, I suppose.
For those who haven't yet heard the details of Middletown's upset victory, here are some of the big ones:
Portsmouth held Rico McCray to 47 yard rushing on 20 carries. He also had 30 receiving yards, but made his biggest impact on defense with a 69-yard fumble return for a touchdown and an interception.
Middletown's two other touchdowns also were big plays. Osaze Riley caught a 60-yard touchdown pass from Dylan Gracia, on which Riley did most of the work, running for about 40 yards after the catch. Gracia later added a 55-yard touchdown run that sealed the win.
Both Portsmouth scores came through the air, as quarterback Pat Fagan passed for 105 yards and two touchdowns, one to Brad Kelly and the other to Mike Dublin.
Kyle Torres led the Portsmouth rushing attack with 110 yards on 24 carries. The Patriots were without leading rusher A.J. Pollock who sat out because of what athletic director Mike Lunney called, "a school issue."
So there you have it. Pick up Friday's Daily News for a full recap and lots of photos from the talented Dave Hansen.
