Calling Jim Sorgi

Colts are up 31-7 early in the 4th. Hopefully they'll soon call off the dogs and put in backup QB and one of the University of Wisconsin's finest, Jim Sorgi.

POLL: Speaking of former Badgers, who is the worst pro to win the Heisman Trophy. The options here are virtually limitless. And I don't want any Danny Wuerffel answers.

I assume you're thinking Ron Dayne deserves to be in the conversation, but even though he's had a lackluster NFL career, he's been in the league 8 years.
My vote goes to Gino Torretta.

It's obviously too early to tell, but Troy Smith will end up near the top of this list. Jason White and Andre Ware are probably the frontrunners, though. I can't put Eric Crouch on this list. He was a different kind of quarterback that thrived in a particular system not suitable for pro football.

Eric Crouch is an idiot. He could be in the NFL right now, playing another position. He turned down several opportunties to play defensive back or running back, but was a stubborn brat and insisted that he was a quarterback and a only a quarterback. Well, I guess he was right. He's a quarterback who recently was cut by a CFL team.

Jason White is a good pick. Andre Ware had an NFL career. Not a good one, but he started for a couple years. Did White ever take a snap in the NFL?

I'm pretty sure it was a snap in his knee that made sure he never took an NFL snap. And you gotta like Crouch's moxie.

Ron Dayne is a good pick.

Anonymous, obviously, knows what he or she is talking about.
