Yeah, I kind of bailed on my Game 7 musings. I've been in a bit of funk since the loss, not much different than when the Patriots lost to the Giants.
The bottom line is that the better team won. No matter what anyone says about the free-throw difference, the Celtics ran out of gas. They refused to run an offense in the fourth quarter, and the isolation plays simply weren't working.
Perhaps the thing that bothers me the most is that this team will be very different next season, so that "Wait 'til next year" slogan can't be used.
One side note: Kobe is not, and never will be Michael Jordan and the comparisions should stop. A 6-for-24 performance in Game 7 just isn't anything Jordan would do.
