Really, do the Patriots need to put up a 16-0 banner? Sure, it was a great feat, one that one other team in NFL history has accomplished. But the job wasn't completed, and putting up a banner only makes every Patriots fan realize that it was a failed mission.

I agree with your assessment of the banner, which is precisely why I think it should stay. It serves as a constant reminder of last year's failure, which always brings a smile to my face.
Eh, at least it didn't end with an awful interception, in overtime, in the NFC championship, at home. Now that's failure.
Low blow. But at least the team I was rooting for, and picked, to win the Super Bowl actually won.
