I'm sure moving from the UConn-Chattanooga game will infuriate some Connecticut fans, but I'm OK with it. I don't really enjoy watching UConn, and the Maryland-Cal game that's on now is much more intriguing.
Although, in this day and age, is it too much to ask CBS to either share the tournament with other networks or create more channels so that any game can be seen at any time, anywhere in the country?
I think there are different channels you can go to ... at least there was last year. Check up and down your cable. Oh wait, you have Direct TV (play Price is Right loser horn).
HA! We're in the same boat. How's your precious cable look now? I could order "Mega March Madness," which is, I believe, only available on DirecTV. But I got it last year, and it didn't live up to the hype.
NFL Sunday Ticket, on the other hand, is a godsend.
Maybe the glitches have been fixed in "Mega March Madness," but as I recall from last year, there was one big issue. Obviously, as we've discussed, all the early round games are assigned to certain areas of the country. Because it was broadcast locally, it wasn't on the MMM channels. But when the local channel switched to away from a game, it went to no-man's land. It wasn't on the MMM channel, because it was "available locally" but it wasn't on the local CBS channel, either. That was quite frustrating.
As for Sunday Ticket, I get what you're saying, and I wouldn't pay for it, either, if I knew I could watch the Packers on local TV every week. But it is pretty awesome to have every game at your disposal every week. You'd appreciate it.
aw, poor scott. she probably won't spring for them in fear of seeing her boyfriend parked in front of the tv double fisting nacho cheese and soup more than one day a year. and we do get the nfl network!

Ugh .. we don't have any extra channels. My girlfriend won't spring for extra sports channels, like CBS College Sports.

Really, you got the tournament package last year? And it wasn't that good? I guess it would only be good for the first four days.
As far as NFL Sunday Ticket, I only have interest in the Pats, so I don't need much else, Cheesehead.
